Wolverine, Death of Sabretooth

If you're an X-men fan then you will know that Wolverine and Sabretooth were mortal enemies, always trying to fight each other to the death.

In a number of cases when they both were trying to kill each other, they would have probably succeeded if not for their mutant healing abilities. Both have a healing factor, which allows them to heal at a much accelerated rate than normal humans. But in this case this did not help Sabretooth.

This Kit is made out of resin. Total of 9 pieces. What is amazing here is that kit contains two sets of arms. Yes you read right, two sets of arms.

One set of arms are in a regular pose, not much going on with them. The second set of arms, I think most modeler's will use because in Wolverine's left hand he is holding the severed head of Sabretooth. The likeness of Wolverine and the traditional yellow suit jumps straight out of the X-men comic book.  Wolverine's mouth, lip curl and snarl really make up a fantastic facial expression. The casting is done flawlessly without any seam lines or air bubbles. The Legs are attached to the waist and Wolverine's upper body fits nicely together. A couple of drawbacks are: the kit does not come with Wolverine's famous adamantium claws and trademark cigar. Both have to be sculpted if desired, this defiantly would be a great addition to this kit.  Also, there is no base with this kit. One must be created because trusting Wolverine to stand on his own is risky business, he will either take a header off your workbench or display counter. Sabretooth's severed head looks a little deformed. Beginning with Sabretooth's head not having enough hair, his head looks a little to thin, which is nothing some 2 part apoxy putty and little bit of sculpting could not fix. Another cool point is that where his head is severed from his neck the sculptor added a piece of neck bone which makes it appear that Wolverine's claws would have chopped straight through the flesh. If you can overlook these few minor draw backs, this is still a great a pick.

The Sculptor is Vance T, he also produces the kit through NUTHUT PRODUCTIONS. You can email Vance at advancesculptor@yahoo.com  for current price.

Wolverine, Death of Sabretooth receives 4 paw prints.

***Update***

Vance T had email me back after the review, and the kit now contains styrene for  Wolverine's adamantium claws. \\\ ///
